A vacancy exists in the Applications Engineering Team which has the primary task of servicing existing and new products in the NZ market. The work is varied and interesting, involving CAD 3D based design and redesign projects of components, taking into account function, application and performance. Close liaison is involved with others such as an Australian based design centre, and locally with manufacturing, marketing and costing team members. Candidates should have a mechanical engineering background with at least 3 years experience on CAD and be able to show an understanding of the requirements for mechanical drawing. Experience in using a 3D solid modelling package would be an advantage. Excellent communication, investigative and problem solving skills are vital as is the ability to fit into a supportive team environment.
