Description |
Todd Energy – A vibrant New Zealand based energy company requires a Reservoir Engineer for their upstream business unit in New Plymouth, New Zealand. Todd Energy has interests in a number of oil and gas assets including the onshore Taranaki Kapuni, McKee & Mangahewa fields; the offshore Taranaki Maui, Pohokura, Maari & Karewa fields; and various onshore and offshore Taranaki petroleum exploration and appraisal permits. The purpose of the role is to provide reservoir engineering support and advice across all operated and non-operated producing oil and gas properties, particularly in relation to field development and production activities. Responsibilities will include:
- Providing reservoir engineering input to operated activities from exploration through to production. - Providing critical review (as a non-operator) of work programs, interpretations, field reservoir models, reserves estimations and reports from asset operators.
- Undertaking independent technical studies in a non-operating role, and initiating and overseeing such work by consultants where appropriate.
- Conduct annual reserves calculations.
To be suitable for this position successful candidates must possess a relevant BE or BSc Degree qualification, with at least 8 year¡¯s broad petroleum industry experience with a reservoir engineering emphasis. Candidates must have proven reservoir engineering capability, with petroleum engineering cross-discipline familiarity, and an ability in application of pragmatic reservoir engineering and production forecasting analysis techniques. In addition candidates must be able to demonstrate experience in industry oil and gas reserves estimation methodologies, experience with dynamic reservoir simulation models, and ability in well/reservoir production test analysis. It is extremely important to this key role that candidates have a high level of communicative ability in all forms and at all levels.
