Our client is a high profile national retail sharebroking operation with international affiliations and an enviable reputation for delivering high quality research to their advisors and private clients.
The Head of Research is responsible for leading and managing a team of experienced research analysts and ensuring a regular stream of quality research is produced across all asset classes.
Reporting to the CEO you will be responsible for:
• Coordinating and delivering all aspects of the firms investment research.
• Manage morning meetings, coordinate small cap coverage, company presentations and road shows.
• Manage relationships with overseas research contacts; manage the production of key research publications, coverage of Funds, fixed interest research and management of core portfolios.
• Managing the Investment Committee and providing investment guidance to private client advisors and assist them on investment ideas, marketing and presentations.
• Oversee the production of regular media articles, newsletters, research updates, strategy reports etc.
• Managing research support for advisors, disseminate market data and oversee website research content.
The ideal candidate will be recognized in the industry as an accomplished Research Manager with a broad range of local and major overseas equity markets who is able to identify investment/portfolio ideas for clients and provide accurate advice to advisors and clients following corporate activity. The research function is crucial to the success of the business and this high level position requires an excellent standard of written and oral communication, leadership, market knowledge and financial analysis ability.
