Do you have an interest in patient/client and whanau experiences and perspectives on their health, activity and participation after neurological disease or injury?
If so you are invited to apply for one of two full-time (or part-time by negotiation) 1-year fixed-term positions, in our Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences.
You will be a member of our research team contributing to the implementation and running of two specific research projects:
(1) a study which is just beginning exploring barriers and facilitators to physical activity in people with Multiple Sclerosis.
(2) development of a quality of life measure for people with disabilities.
In addition, the role will allow the applicant to support existing projects as a member of a growing research team including current investigation of vocational rehabilitation and goal setting for people with brain injury.
Your background should include evidence of some work or study with people who have chronic or disabling health conditions.
You will hold a graduate degree in a health related field (including but not limited to the allied health professions, nursing, psychology or sociology) and demonstrate excellent organisational ability and high written and oral skills. Opportunities for postgraduate study are available.
