This is a special opportunity to take an already significant business and greatly extend its penetration throughout NZ using a franchising model. Instantly recognizable this business needs someone highly capable with the potential to more than double its size and for this person to share in the business gains.
Reporting to the group M.D. you will have a strong business background in a multi store environment, preferably having had a number of years within one of the major retail groups. Additional experience in a highly entrepreneurial business would be well regarded. Ideally you will have broad retail experience in the food/perishable sector, such as fast food, convenience stores etc.
You will need strong leadership and excellent people management/influencing skills to both "sell in" your ideas and to ensure the standards and quality are maintained. As the saying goes "retail is detail" so you must be able to switch between operational and strategic thinking with ease. As the business works under a shared services model the skill of managing and maintaining effective business relationships is also important.
Understanding the marketing function, ideally with some experience in a strongly branded environment is important, this organization has very distinctive and somewhat quirky brand values and as the leader of this group you will need to be able to identify with the brand. With a competitive but premium approach to the market, creativity and a sense of humour will also serve you well.
Remuneration for this role is negotiable and includes not only a very significant base and bonus, consideration will also be given to "earn out" options.
