World Vision has a global reputation for the excellence of its work in humanitarian aid, development programmes and management of relief projects.
Currently, World Vision NZ supports more than 70 projects in 18 countries. The New Zealand business delivers programmes focusing on community development, emergency relief, rehabilitation and disaster mitigation, advocacy and education. The Board wishes to appoint a CEO capable of sustaining the existing organisation whilst concurrently growing it to its next level of evolution. The CEO will be responsible for leadership, management and organisational development, strategic and business development, public relations and programme management.
This will require an executive who is spiritually and emotionally robust; has a high level of commercial astuteness; is able to connect with the New Zealand public and engage a broad constituency of community support. The ability to be comfortable in the public arena with strong Christian values will also be very important.
