Description |
Employer: Christchurch City Council
Working with local bodies, health agencies, schools and the community Harbour Sport is committed to leading and facilitating the growth of sport and physical activity.
They are seeking a motivated person with proven strategic, project management and operational leadership ability as general manager. Reporting to the CEO the role has primary responsibility for relationships with councils, key funding agencies and stakeholders, as well as business services and administration management.
An understanding of marketing principals and experience in sponsorship and promotional activities are important. Outstanding relationship management and communication skills are essential. The successful candidate is likely to have a tertiary qualification and a leadership background in the service industry.
This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging general manager who has an interest in sport and recreation to become established in this growth service industry.
