Our client is a leading Auckland based manufacturer and importer of quality branded products sold internationally. Over the past few years the business has expanded in terms of sales, markets and product ranges. As a result of that growth they now wish to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Purchasing Manager.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager you will be responsible for the planning, purchasing and supplier relations for a large range of component and finished goods. Specifically you will set and maintain purchasing parameters, manage supply contract terms, expenses and manage lead times and inventory levels.
In this hands-on role you will be pivotal to maintaining the business¡¯s competitiveness and ongoing supplier relations and product development.
You are an experienced Purchasing Manager ideally with appropriate qualifications and at least three years sound experience ideally in a manufacturing environment. You have the ability and desire to always do things better, look for the ¡°total package¡± and able to build relations with your suppliers.
This role is more than just moving ¡°purchase orders about¡± it forms part of the competitiveness of this exciting expanding business.
