Description |

This is a great opportunity for a senior Underwriter to step up into a leadership role.
This position sits within the Auckland team and as such will lead the team to ensure consistent successful performance.
The main purpose of the position: Provide a professional underwriting service to clients and Advisers; and Provide quality advice on risk assessment matters within agreed company guidelines and philosophy; and Manage and lead the underwriting team to ensure that performance is consistent with our underwriting standards, philosophy and quality service provisions.
Oversee a co-operative environment with distribution and sales by assisting in problem solving in relation to all underwriting matters Participate in the ongoing development of Advisers Develop and maintain a positive perception of the underwriting team in the market place
Select team members who demonstrate the competencies and attributes required for the positions. Clearly define their responsibilities and objectives, set and agree clear expectations and standards and take responsibility for providing the training and support necessary to meet these objectives.
