Patent Attorney/Electrical Engineer
If you're a qualified Software, Electronics or Electrical Engineer, Computer Scientist or Patent Attorney we need you in Wellington !
Baldwins invite qualified graduates in any of the fields of software engineering, computer science, electronics or electrical engineering to apply for a position in our Wellington office.
The position is suited to someone qualified (or soon to qualify) as a patent attorney however applications from graduates in the early years of their working life who are interested in pursuing a career as a patent attorney will also be considered.
As a successful candidate you are likely to be someone who has:
a passion for detail
less than 10 years work experience
practical knowledge of computing systems and methods
excellent written and oral English
an ability to relate warmly with a diverse range of people
an interest in commerce and the law
strong organisational skills
a desire to succeed and excel
interests outside your working life
New Zealand residency
Successful applicants, if not qualified as a patent attorney, will be required to pass New Zealand patent attorney examinations. You will also be encouraged to undertake legal study towards an LLB while working for the firm.
