Operations Manager
Bowls New Zealand is one of New Zealand’s premier sporting organisations with over 90,000 participants. The changing face of bowls worldwide has resulted in successfully repositioning the sport to attract younger players. An external review has redefined responsibilities and established a new role reporting to the chief executive.
This exciting new role has key responsibilities for leading the administration team, including finance as well as managing the regional development networks and national coaching.
While knowledge of bowls is important, a strong operational background in any sporting code would be valued. A tertiary qualification in sports management would be preferred however consideration will be given to candidates with commercial experience.
Opportunities to work in national sports bodies of this calibre are rare.
