As one of the most respected players in civil construction market in Auckland this company works medium to large civil projects – focusing on land development, infrastructure, foundations, site work, roading and drainage. They have worked hard to develop a reputation second to none with their commitment to excellence and efficiency, innovation, reliability and a ¡®hands on¡¯ approach with their clients and now require an experienced Construction Manager to join the team.
The purpose of the Construction Manger is to provide a crucial link between construction staff and managers and directors of the company, helping form the future direction of the business.
Your role will cover key aspects such as
• Assisting in the development and appropriate implementation of three key management plans - time, quality and safety and that the plans are efficient and effective in practice. • Development, execution and direction of strategic plans for cost and construction management – including production, tendering & contracts, systems and accounting. • An active part in any other duties as required with other teams such as Directors of Company, Human Resources etc.
The above role requires the successful applicant to have at least 10+ years in similar positions within the industry, excellent ability at a senior level to influence clients¡¯ decisions, experienced in systems and contracts with a hands on approach to staff and work alike - and the bug bear of everyone – computer skills covering word and excel (sorry no PA provided just in case you were thinking of asking!)
