Description |
major banking group wishes to recruit a Senior Manager Risk who will take overall responsibility and ownership for the credit function for corporate and commercial banking. This will include development and implementation of policy and process, as well as compliance with Basel II requirements and other regulatory initiatives.
This is a senior position, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. Your key responsibilities will include:
Overall responsibility for the operational risk function and business continuity planning for corporate and commercial banking
Management and leadership of the risk team
Develop and articulate a credit strategy and implement and develop a strategy for compliance for Basel II
Facilitate credit policy change and continually review and provide advice on credit policy
Continuously monitor competitor activity and credit procedure changes to facilitate continuous improvement and ensure compliance with the Credit Assurance Programme across the frontline
Ongoing development and education of credit risk understanding throughout the business
We seek a Senior Manager with a track record of bank credit risk as well as a sound understanding of credit risk related frameworks, including strategy, policy, process and quality assurance.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator who is able to present persuasively to Senior Management as well as having demonstrated leadership and team building skills. You will have strong business acumen, the ability to build relationships and networks and deliver results, as well as a sound understanding of business and market environment and the ability to think strategically.
