Suit 3 - 4 years hedge fund experience
Auckland
Our client is a very well established and successful funds management group which has experienced considerable growth over the last five years. They now wish to recruit a Research Analyst to monitor existing hedge fund managers to ensure performances are consistent with expectations.
Reporting to the investment strategist you will also have responsibility for:
• Researching global hedge fund managers to ascertain the different styles of absolute return management
• Undertake due diligence on the prospective hedge managers
• Understand the investment process of prospective managers and
calculate the correlation between the different hedge styles/managers
• Recommend to the portfolio manager, changes in the hedge manager
portfolio
• Research and monitor trends and developments in private equity (both domestically and internationally)
The ideal candidate will have approximately 3 - 4 years experience in researching hedge managers, or working in a hedge management operation. You may also have experience in actively trading either interest rate or FX products as this position will involve generating, executing and monitoring trading ideas.
