This role would suit say a senior tradesperson who may have worked their way up through the ranks to maybe a Foreman/Supervisor.
Our client is a leading New Zealand Mechanical Services contractor, Property & Facility Services provider, and manufacturer of Process Heating Equipment.
The Company has been operating for over 50 years. Directed from its headquarters in Wellington, they operate three specialist divisions – Contracting, Manufacturing and Property & Facility Services. The Company employs over 230 people in Wellington, Auckland, Hamilton and Christchurch.
Key Responsibilities
The overall responsibility of the position of the Project Engineer is to be able to visit the customer, size and quote the project, order the required equipment and oversee the installation and the successful commissioning of the plant. Within this overall responsibility, there are a number of key responsibilities of this position:
Qualifications and Experience Required
Management experience supported by a technical background in Mechanical engineering with specialisation in HVAC and experience with industrial process heating and/or mechanical services.
Applications are invited for the position of Project Engineer from persons with the following attributes and you must be able to demonstrate:
Hands on leadership.
Strong interpersonal skills, coupled with a customer services experience. Be able to
communicate effectively with say sub contractors and the client.
You will also have sales experience and skill-set.
Well developed written and oral communication skills.
Sound commercial acumen.
must be self-motivated, capable of using initiative and able to work under pressure.
You will also have excellent references to back this up.
You will also speak excellent & fluent English, have excellent communication skills, have extremely tidy work habits, be a team player and have excellent personal presentation.
You will be resident in New Zealand.
The successful candidate will receive an excellent salary of say $60K with a company vehicle supplied and the usual benefits. There will also be an incentive for achieving your sales budget.
