Ngati Porou Hauora has been at the forefront in New Zealand of providing quality primary health care to its community for over ten years. It now seeks a talented and experienced manager to take up the reins of this ground breaking organisation.
Ngati Porou Hauora provides all primary healthcare services on the East Coast including a 24 A&E service and acute and long term care at its Hospital in Te Puia Springs. It also provides a range of early intervention and prevention programmes as well as dentistry.
The organisation is in good shape and the governing Board now seeks to appoint a Chief Executive who can help lead the organisation through its next phase of development.
The skills and experience being sought are as follows:
Substantive senior management experience.
Proven financial management skills.
Demonstrated ability to form and implement strategy.
Understanding and experience of working with Boards.
A commitment to transparency and accountability.
Outstanding ability to engage with communities and develop and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
Understanding of Tikanga Maori and Te Reo Maori would be an advantage.
Outstanding leadership and staff management skills.
