The State Services Commission (SSC) is one of the three central government agencies responsible for a high performing, trusted and accessible State sector. SSC is leading the Development Goals for the State Services, a framework for the delivery of the next generation of New Zealand’s State Services.
To assist us with this ambitious programme, SSC is looking for people with post graduate qualifications who are excited at the prospect of making a real difference to the future of New Zealand.
You must have a good post-graduate degree; however we are more interested in your skills, attitude and commitment than in any specific discipline.
You will contribute to:
recruitment, support and performance assessment of Public Service chief executives
appropriate ministerial advice and support
the achievement of the Development Goals
identifying opportunities for cooperation and collaboration with other agencies and the community as appropriate.
As part of these interesting and influential roles, you will undertake a range of tasks including:
information gathering, research, and analysis around aspects of public management and departmental performance
participating as a project team member in sector and departmental reviews
supporting and participating in other areas of SSC work.
You will be versatile and able to research, analyse, and disseminate information. You must be self-motivated and able to prioritise tasks to manage your workload. You will able to relate and interact with a wide range of people.
