We are looking for a quality focused person to provide leadership for one of two teams in the Building Authority. You will ensure that Project Information Memoranda, Consents, Code Compliance Certificates and Certificates of Acceptance promote and maintain quality development in Manukau City. This position requires a person to lead a team of skilled people managing a demanding workload in a competitive environment.
You will need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, problem solving skills, co-operative work habits and the ability to prioritise the changing workload of the team. Extensive knowledge of the Building Act 1991 and 2004, with associated regulations, and the Building Code is essential; some knowledge of the Resource Management Act would be beneficial.
Experience working within a regulatory environment or local authority would be advantageous
