Selwyn District Council's vision is to achieve excellence in the management of resources and the provision of services for the people of Selwyn District. The Council is one of the fastest growing Local Authorities in the Country. It services an expanding population, currently in the region of 32,000, employs 121 staff and has a budgeted expenditure of approximately $38 million.
Reporting to the Asset Delivery Manager, you will drive the development and implementation of strategies and plans for works and services across a number of asset groups, including transportation, utilities, waste, open space and property. You will be responsible for defining and integrating delivery functions across the asset group and establishing and reviewing Service Level Agreements to provide a quality assured process. The role will play a key part in the Council's Long Term Community Growth Plans and management of Major Works Programmes.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Chartered Engineer, wanting to take ownership of a wide ranging Service Delivery Unit. You will be skilled at building relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, committed to excellence, with the ability to create a motivated working environment and lead staff to achieve their optimum potential.
