Il Pastaio Ltd T/A Sage Pasta Restaurant Salary: $13 - $14/hr
Commis Chef Responsible for Larder Section Cold Entrees, desserts and breads Learning also hot sections
Sage Pasta Restaurant in Mission Bay, Auckland, is looking for a Commis Chef to work in an Italian Fine Dining Kitchen with 3 other chefs plus one kitchen hand. The restaurant seats 60 inside plus 15 outside. The position requires a responsible person who is willing to also learn to be in all parts of the kitchen. Owner/chef is very much involved in menu planning and prep work, but primarily the reporting would happen to the Head Chef.
Responsibilities includes: bread making on a daily basis, ice cream and sorbet making, fresh pasta making, dessert and cold entree making.
During service the position enables the person the be involved to help the hot section as well.
The position requires 1-2 years of experience in commercial kitchen.
