Land Transport NZ
Response Team Manager, Vehicle Certification Unit (VCU)
Land Transport New Zealand is a government agency that contributes to an integrated, safe, responsive and sustainable land transport system.
The Vehicle Certification Unit is the response interface between the public and motor vehicle industry. The primary function of the section is to be the unit¡¯s first line response to complaints, Ministerial questions, technical queries, exemption requests and general queries.
Reporting to the National Manager Vehicle Certification Unit, this newly created position includes responsibility for:
leading and managing a customer focused team
responding to Ministerial enquiries (P.Q¡¯s)
data analysis
development, review and maintenance of processes and procedures to ensure the smooth and efficient management of complaints, investigations etc
management of a Help Desk function.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate sound experience in:
team leadership and management including the ability and experience in effective business planning: delegation, managing workloads and work streams
you will have the ability to develop workable solutions to complex problems using a range of analytical and problem solving skills; and
be able to communicate and present at all levels and have experience dealing professionally with a wide range people, some who may be difficult
although not essential, experience in a related industry and a tertiary qualification in a relevant field would be preferred.
