Customer Services Finance Team Leader
• Operations Finance – Wellington Office
• Change Management and Leadership role
• Fixed Term Contract until mid August 2007
Sovereign is New Zealand’s leading Life Insurer and is revered for being a fantastic place to work at. An opportunity has arisen in our Wellington Finance team. Due to a strategic decision to relocate all Operational Finance responsibililes to Auckland, we are looking for the right person to lead the Wellington team to successfully facilitate this transfer.
Reporting through to the Manager of Customer Services Finance, Auckland, you will be a key part of the Management team responsible for delivering on this challenging objective. The aim is to hand over approximately 200 processes across multiple systems by June 2007 whilst maintaining Business as Usual.
You will be accountable for 5 direct reports. A detailed Implementation Plan has been created and you will be responsible for driving a successful outcome. The flexibility to travel to Auckland when required and the ability to support and motivate a team to succeed during challenging times are essential.
To succeed in this role you will need:

• Strong organisation and planning skills
• A team player with outstanding interpersonal skills and a positive can do attitude
• Ability to quickly build strong interpersonal relationships
