Structural Draughter
Knowles Consulting Ltd are a specialist Structural and Civil professional design consultancy, located in the heart of Newmarket. They deliberately set out to embrace the latest advanced, integrated technology to produce stunning and ultimately more accurate thee dimensional design documentation. As structures are three-dimensional objects, their highly skilled team of designers and draughters think in 3D and work in 3D. The result is design documents of unsurpassed sophistication and accuracy that can be viewed from any angle and any detail can be ¡®zoomed in¡¯ on and rotated to reveal construction detail that 2D design simply can¡¯t. This advanced design capability allows project costs to be more accurately estimated and provides the customer with so much more information than was previously possible. Due to the high demand from a growing number of delighted clients, the company urgently needs an additional Pro-Steel Draughter.
You should have a recognised CAD qualification and at least 2 years New Zealand draughting experience, preferably with steel structures, using AutoCAD (up to 2006). You should also have had training and experience using Pro-Steel although further training will be given. As you will be working within a small team, you will need to be a good team player with excellent communication skills and be able to liaise effectively with designers and customers.
You will need to be pro-active in taking on your share of the work and be able to work unsupervised. You will also need great attention to detail, be a bit of a perfectionist and be able to sort out problems as they arise. You will be largely responsible for producing the design documentation for the customer so should be the kind of person who always wants to do the best possible job.
