Regional Planning Manager
Rare Senior Management Opportunity
Exciting time to secure this unique role
New Zealand is currently experiencing an unprecedented focus on infrastructure and roading networks throughout the country. Much of this focus is on roading infrastructure in the Auckland region. An opportunity is currently available for a highly professional individual to be involved with the planning, construction and management of these networks at the most strategic level.
If you are an experienced Engineering professional with a passion for life-cycle project management and planning we would like to hear from you. This is a senior role where you will be reporting to the Regional Manager and overseeing a number of resource planners.
Your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
-Developing the strategic plan for the region
-Project Management of specific capital improvement projects
-Provide planning advice and when required be the representative for the organisation to external bodies
-Assess and scrutinise resource consent applications and various regional and district plans
-Management and development of staff
Ideally you will possess:
-A minimum of ten years experience in a senior management role within a consultancy, main contractor or regional council.
-A tertiary qualification in planning or resource management. A post graduate qualification in transport and/or management would be an advantage.
-Excellent communication skills
-A high level of initiative and a proven history of implementing innovative approaches to your work
