The position is responsible for the provision of strong strategic analysis skills to drive the development of medium and long term strategy to guide this government department.
The candidate will have had significant government experience, working in either senior policy, strategy or planning roles. With the ability to work through complex issues and ideas, and communicate them in simple terms. The candidate will be comfortable working at the macro level, however will have the stakeholder skills to drive down into day-to-day operational detail. Ideally you will be looking to take a step-up into a role that provides greater exposure to the operations and management with-in public sector.
Ideally you will have 3-5 years experience with-in the public sector, you may be working as an analyst and be looking to take the next step in your career. You will be tertiary qualified with the ability to work through complexity whilst maintaining a down to earth approach which will transcend all levels of the organization. Excellent communication skills are a must. An understanding of organizational performance evaluation and measurement will be looked at favorably.
