Senior Policy Advisor Auckland High profile, pivotal role in Govt department be involved with sweeping changes Great benefits An outstanding role for an individual looking to work on a wide range of policies and projets. The core role of the division is to provide advice on revenue issues to various business units across the organisation. The Policy Analyst will be responsible for reviewing and developing policies in line with local government legislation. The Policy Analyst will contribute to a range of policies and projects including:
the development of revenue policies; contributing to other policies and projects; providing policy advice and input to other Groups within the organisation; and contributing to legislative reviews as required; this may involve liaison with other agencies and with central government departments.
The successful candidate will be a strong team player with experience of researching / interpreting and drafting information and documents. Also desirable:
A relevant degree in Public Policy, Economics, finance, mathematics/statistics or a related discipline; Relevant work experience in a strategic planning or public policy field, preferably with experience in local government funding issues; Analytical and problem- solving skills. A high level of IT literacy, particularly with Excel. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
