New Zealands leading coal exporter has an immediate vacancy for a Technical Services Manager to be based at their Spring Creek mine on the west coast of the south island. This is a challenging and career developing position with a remuneration package to match.
You will be responsible for the following,
Team leadership leading the technical team with clear and achievable objectives and good communication;
Operational planning - ensure the production of detailed mine plans, ATMs and mine operating plans;
Long term mine plans assist the mine manager in the development and maintenance of long term objectives;
Technical Expertise providing good technical advice and support;
Project management;
Reconciliation ensure systems are in place to keep plans on track;
Staff development;
Health and safety;
To be successful in this position, ideally you will have a relevant tertiary qualification, underground mining experience, the proven ability to supervise people and teams along with relevant computer skills for planning and scheduling within the mine environment.
