A key position within New Zealands leading mining company has arisen with the purpose to manage the contractor operational activities at their opencast coal mine in Rotowaro near Huntly in the Waikato.
You will be responsible for optimising the business value of the operation, with some of the key accountabilities being,
Health and Safety establishment and maintenance of all aspects of contractor health & safety systems;
Financial Performance developing the annual operating plans and quarterly forecasts for sales and quality;
Operational Contract Company Representative, including Environmental Operation and Compliance;
Plant Management to ensure productivity and financial benefit of plant;
Project Management maximising value and performance of other contractors;
People Management leading contracts team and ensuring trained and qualified staff are available for all operational plans.
To be successful in this challenging and career defining role, you will need some of the following experience,
Tertiary Qualification preferably within Civil Engineering or Mining;
Experience in managing and implementing major contracts preferably within opencast mining;
Health and Safety experience in application of systems and auditing;
Heavy plant machinery operational knowledge.
