Land Transport NZ
Investigator
Land Transport New Zealand is a government agency that contributes to an integrated, safe, responsive and sustainable land transport system.
Our Commercial Road Transport Unit (CRTU) team is looking for a confident and self-motivated person with excellent investigative skills to coordinate and undertake investigations relating to non-compliance by transport operators and commercial drivers.
As a member of a national investigations team, the position includes responsibility for ensuring appropriate enforcement action is taken to address non-compliance; providing evidence-based recommendations on adverse decisions and assisting with prosecutions. You will provide information to assist in the identification of trends and contribute to the development of regulatory policy.
This demanding position requires a person with:
experience working in a regulatory environment
well-developed general investigative skills
knowledge and understanding of the Land Transport sector
a commitment to the ¡®willing compliance¡¯ philosophy
excellent analytical skills and the ability to make sound decisions and solve problems
well developed organisational and planning skills
excellent written and verbal communication skills
a high level of initiative, versatility and resourcefulness
a current, clean driver¡¯s licence.
