As the Owner and Operator of New Zealand's nationwide electrical transmission network, Transpower plays a central role in the electricity industry linking generators to distribution companies and major industrial users. We have a number of exciting opportunities for IT professionals keen on working in a sector critical to New Zealand's economic well being.
Great opportunity to move into a management position, working with senior management providing advice and consultancy on good development practice.
This role reports to the Development Manager and will deputise in their absence, you will work closely with the Development Manager to ensure that a suitable development plan is established, approved and maintained.
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience;
You will have previously been in a leading and coordinating role and have come through the development ranks.
You will have practical experience of delivering development projects from both a technical and process perspective.
Possess a good understanding of development practices, including the development of suitable frameworks and their practical usage.
Experience working on multiple diverse initiatives simultaneous
You will possess strong relationship management skills with an ability to guide and influence
This role will suit a pragmatic person who is seeking a challenging career opportunity, who has the ability to see the big picture, understands technical issues and dependencies.
