Delivery Team Manager
A challenging new role has arisen in HP New Zealand’s Consulting and Integration business unit. As part of the Enterprise Application Services (EAS) Management Team, the position of Delivery Team Manager (Wellington) has been created. The Delivery Team Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery and growth of software development, maintenance and support, and integration services to some of the largest organisations in New Zealand. The role will involve the leadership and management of the consolidated delivery team located in Wellington, with close liaison with other teams in Auckland and Christchurch.
The Delivery Team Manager will be expected to perform the following:
Plan, control and manage the delivery of software development solutions and services to meet quality, customer expectations, contracted timelines, service levels and revenue and profitability targets.
Provide outstanding people leadership and develop capability by coaching, mentoring, performance evaluations, regular team communications and promoting an environment of open communication and teamwork.
Take a leading role in assisting the Account Management team to sell software development solutions and services, identifying and responding to new or expanding business opportunities, preparing and participating in presentations and demonstrations, and assisting with RFP responses and contract negotiations.
Establish and maintain professional long-term working relationships with customers at multiple levels, as well as other business units with HP NZ.
Contribute to EAS growth by assisting with development and implementation of strategic and tactical planning.
This is a permanent, full-time role, and is located in Wellington.
It is expected that you would have 3 — 5 years experience working within a significant software development environment in a project management or senior team leader role.
A tertiary qualification preferably in an IT related discipline or management is desirable and PMP certification an advantage.
You must previously have led teams of 10 or more people.
