COMET is an independent charitable trust established by Manukau City Council to support education in the city.
From time to time, the trust is requested to scope projects, develop reports and deliver on contracts that require a depth of knowledge across education sectors and across a range of issues related to education and training and community development. We are seeking a competent analyst who is able to analyse information from schools and about schools; to research education issues; and to prepare briefing papers.
We will be looking for an educator or policy graduate with skills and experience in research, and/or project management, and/or education analysis. Our ideal person will be a good organiser, have a flexible, can-do attitude, be a quick learner and be practical as well as theoretical. The successful applicant will have an understanding of the implications of ethnic diversity on Manukau's educational future, and acknowledge the importance of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
An immediate start is possible. Employment arrangements will be considered to suit the preferred applicant.
