Description |
Wellington City Mission Salary: $38,958 - $43,487
Social Worker At Wellington City Mission we are expanding our Family Support Programme and seek an energetic, motivated and family-focussed person to join our busy team who are dedicated in working to influence the future of Wellington and Hutt Valley families.
The appointee will directly work with at-risk families, providing in-home support, advocacy and emergency assistance, and identifying social and personal issues that need to be addressed.
The appointee will promote and encourage positive relationships between parents and children and have a broad knowledge of community resources and government agencies. Experience in working with people from differing socio-economic backgrounds, cultures and ethnicities will be a distinct advantage.
We expect you will have: * a recognised social work qualification (minimum diploma level) * a clean, full drivers license * a reliable vehicle that can be used for regular home visiting (vehicle running expenses will be reimbursed)
