Fundraising Assistant/Database Administrator
The objective of this role is to maintain the database and create new fundraising opportunities using the information.

Heart Children New Zealand is the only charity dedicated to supporting children with heart defects and their families throughout New Zealand. A congenital heart condition is the most common serious birth abnormality in New Zealand needing ongoing medical intervention. Each week, 12 children are born in New Zealand with a heart defect and every year 30-40 children lose their battle to survive. Heart Children New Zealand is a nationwide organisation with 23 branches and/or support groups.
An exciting opportunity exists at Heart Children New Zealand based in Grafton Road, Auckland for a Fundraising Assistant to work with the National Office team in meeting the organisations Mission.
¡° To provide and facilitate the best care and support for heart children and their families within New Zealand¡±
Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, the successful candidate will have overall responsibility for all aspects of Membership and Donor Development. You¡¯ll be generating, tracking and processing donations received through our campaigns, events and online fundraising and responding to our members and donors. You have the opportunity to develop new fundraising initiatives using the database. This is a challenging and developmental role.
A good knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel and other Microsoft packages is essential, although training and back up from staff will be available. You will be trained on our Donor Database.
