This company is a small interior construction subcontractor, specialising in suspended ceilings. They started out approximately six months ago and are experiencing a phenomenal amount of growth. The majority of their work is CBD office fit outs, with some residential and other light commercial. At present there is a director, a supervisor and a crew of about 7 ceiling fixers, we are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join the team.
The position is needed to look after all the pricing, estimating and general QS duties. As it is a small company you will need to have a broad skill set and an ability to become involved in all aspects of the business. You could be a qualified QS looking for a change in career, a carpenter/foreman with excellent pricing skills or someone coming from a residential background. Interiors experience would be an advantage as would ceilings experience but this is not necessary and can be taught.
