Quantity Surveyor-Intermediate/Senior.
City Fringe Location
My client is a well-known commercial construction company. They have been involved with many sizeable projects on an Auckland wide basis. They are specialist in the 'middle to larger sized' projects and have an enviable reputation for providing quality and excellence in construction and the management of the project.
Their current requirement is for a Quantity Surveyor who has reached the stage in his or her career where they are able to manage the project. This will require him/her to be confident and a great communicator. You will be able to get out of the office and talk the same language as the Project Manager, Client, Architect and other sub trades. Your background will be strong on commercial work in the NZ market.
This position could suit you if you can call yourself reasonably Senior QS but it is also possibly the career step for someone who is ready to step into bigger shoes.
It will help your case if you are energetic and can handle the site visit as well driving things without direct supervision from your office.
