Applications are invited for the position of Professor and Head of Department in the Department of Information Science.
Applications are invited for the position of Professor and Head of Department in the Department of Information Science. The post is open to any area of Information Science, however, some preference will be given to candidates with a business-orientation to their research and teaching.
The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a programme of scholarly research and publication, to contribute to the DepartmentĄ¯s overall teaching programme and to supervise undergraduate and graduate research projects.
As Head of Department, the successful candidate will be expected to lead the implementation of the strategic direction for the Department and make a major contribution to the SchoolĄ¯s strategy development and implementation. As Head of Department, the successful candidate will provide mentorship in research for both staff and students, foster innovation in teaching and learning, and play a senior role within the School and the University. Evidence of academic leadership and administrative ability are therefore essential.
