Hudson New Zealand
Automotive lecturers Keep your finger on the pulse of innovation and contribute to the trade shortage in New Zealand!
Passionate car lovers
Use your knowledge to teach others
Great location - work life balance is here!
This tertiary education establishment provides real world education for its students, supplying valuable skilled workers for New Zealand trade. Their qualifications are recognised nationwide. Students learn by "doing it" and are guided by lecturers, experts in their field. Automotive technology students work in 18 specialist workshops with the latest equipment, and a fleet of modern vehicles. Along with students studying other trades, they also spend one day a week in a real workplace to apply the theory they have learned, and get a good 'feel' for their chosen career. The campus is a green oasis not far from the city.
As an automotive lecturer in the growing school of applied technology you will be teaching students, preparing classes, participating with teams to design, develop and present course material. You will lead tutorials, provide consultancy in your area of expertise, provide on-going feedback to students, provide detailed reference documentation, carry out student assessment and participate in staff meetings. You will undertake research in your subject area and maintain close links with industry contacts.
Passionate about cars with expert trade skills, excellent communication skills and dedication to automotive technology you will love this opportunity to impart your knowledge and develop quality students. Full of energy and enthusiasm you will have a broad understanding of automotive education within New Zealand.
