Shift Maintenance Engineer
Our client, a prominent food manufacturer in Christchurch is looking to boost its maintenance team with the appointment of a trade qualified maintenance engineer. The position is a rotating shift role operating on a ˇ°4-on-4-offˇ± system.
With a broad range of modern equipment to maintain including high-speed packaging machines, and liquid sterilizers, this is a role, which will suit engineers with previous food/dairy industry experience but is certainly not a prerequisite.
This position sits within a close team of 10 engineers so having a positive team attitude is a must.
Ideally our clients are looking for someone with:
Trade qualification in either mechanical engineering or fitting and turning
Broad practical experience preventative and breakdown maintenance within a manufacturing environment
Experience with packaging and/or filling equipment plus steam sterilizers etc
Team work skills
Hydraulics, pneumatics and some electrical experience preferred
Welding skills (Mig)
Developed communication skills, someone who can communicate with team members and other departments alike
