The Ministry of Justice, Research, and Evaluation and Modelling unit's role is to carry out analytical research and evaluation projects on behalf of the Ministry or in collaboration with other Justice sector agencies. Its overall purpose is to lead the Justice sector in research, evaluation and modelling activities. It does so by applying current analytical techniques, working with a wide range of stakeholders.
As Team Leader, Research and Evaluation you will be responsible for the rigour of the evaluation and research work delivered by overseeing the work of research and evaluation staff. You will set priorities for evaluations, monitor the evaluations undertaken and publish both research and evaluation findings.
You will be responsible for setting the work programme for 2008, prioritising evaluation work, publishing the findings and addressing political issues with the Minister. Your good counsel will inform the significant pieces of work across the entire justice and related sectors.
You will hold a postgraduate qualification in the social sciences, be able to demonstrate a long history of research and evaluation experience, have a track record in developing professional staff, and demonstrate an ability to bring different perspectives to bear on research and evaluation issues or projects.
