Improving our lifestyles - there¡¯s no place like home! Senior Technical Adviser – Residential Two Year Fixed-Term Location: Wellington, or Auckland, or Christchurch
The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) is a crown entity responsible for encouraging, supporting, and promoting energy efficiency and conservation. EECA are developing the policy, technical and programme basis of a home energy rating scheme which will provide a rating to householders based on energy efficiency and energy performance of their houses.
You will also assist in implementing building elements of the National Energy Efficiency and Conservation Strategy. Specifically, you will advise on building-related technical aspects of energy efficiency, including standards and technical specifications.
Ideally you will have the following:
A tertiary qualification in a buildings-related subject, resource management, engineering or other relevant discipline is required. Project management experience is essential. A track record of sound relationship management. A mix of work experience and formal qualifications which reflect a strong familiarity with government processes, particularly policy development and economic principles, within a sustainability framework. Experience in working with, or within the building sector is an advantage but not an essential element of the role. Applications close Monday 16 October 2006.
