This is a great opportunity for lawyers who either have litigation experience or are keen to acquire it and who have an interest in tax law.
Experience in tax litigation is not essential provide you are keen to learn and are responsive to training opportunities.
You will be part of a multi disciplined work group and will contribute to the preparation of tax cases to be contested in judicial arenas.
This will include:
Researching/drafting/ preparation of cases for the High Court and the Taxation Review
Authority Appearing at hearings
Ideally you will have:
Sound analytical, research and statutory interpretation skills
Experience in litigation and an up-to-date knowledge of tax law would be an advantage but not essential.
A solutions focused approach to problem solving
The ability to work as part of a multi disciplinary team as well as independently
Excellent relationship management skills
Ability to pick up new skills quickly
