Ascension Vineyard is a family owned hospitality business near Matakana Village, an hour¡¯s drive North of Auckland. It encompasses a vineyard, tasting room, award-winning restaurant and a brand new state of the art conference and function venue designed and equipped to accommodate up to 300 guests. Ascension Vineyard has built up an excellent reputation since opening in 2000 and values both its local and national following. The Restaurant is open daily for lunch, (opening in October for dinner Thurs-Sat), and is extremely busy year round. It has also developed a strong reputation for its events and special dinners that are held throughout the year.
Ascension Vineyard is a fabulous place to work. There is a friendly family atmosphere amongst the staff and the team at Ascension sets the highest standards and this ensures all visitors¡¯ expectations of the ¡°Ascension experience¡± are exceeded. It is vital to the organization that in addition to the requisite skills and experience for new staff members that those looking to work at Ascension have a passion for great food, wine and service to be able to pass this on to our customers.
The successful applicant for the position will have at least 2-3 quality experience preferably in both restaurant and banqueting situations and be an enthusiastic self starter able to work under their own initiative.
