We have an exciting and rare opportunity for a Director of Convention Services to join our exceptional team. Based in Auckland CBD, this is a fulltime position reporting to the Director of Marketing. The purpose of the role is to be: totally responsible for managing all groups effectively and efficiently, and oversee the smooth functioning of the catering department.
Day to day responsibilities:
Ensure effective and efficient day-to-day co-ordination of Group programs, including administration and reporting systems Be the main hotel liaison for all Group Clients after contracted by Sales and Marketing Together with the Director of Marketing establish strategies to maximise revenues Maintain a close working relationship with all operational and support departments Ensure up to date Delphi records are kept and clean data is maintained
Key skills and experience sought:
Strong leadership qualities and have at least 4 years in a middle management role Good communicator with excellent presentation, verbal, written and people skills Worldly, preferably with flair and sophistication and ability to take initiative and anticipate needs Well organised, with good planning and follow-up skills Knowledgeable in five star hotel departments of Sales and Marketing, Rooms, Catering and Food and Beverage Fluent in English:fluency in an additional language preferred University graduate with formal Hotel qualification preferred Computer literate - Microsoft Word, Windows, Excel, Delphi, Lotus Notes
