PROCUREMENT & PROCESS LOGISITCS MANAGER PROCUREMENT & PROCESS LOGISITCS MANAGER
Buckley Systems is a successful and innovative New Zealand engineering business which exports its sophisticated and technology driven products on a global basis. Impressive market share and strong intellectual property have positioned the business for rapid growth over the next few years so that it can capitalise on the success already achieved and build for an exciting future.
In order to do this the business needs talented, committed and experienced people with a passion for performance to play key strategic roles as the business expands its horizons in a competitive international landscape.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role will be a key member of the leadership team. This is a newly created position which has been established to provide a more strategic approach to procurement, devising innovative approaches to bridge the gap between user needs, cost efficiency and supplier performance. In addition, there is significant scope to improve workflow, inventory and materials movement internally, thereby gaining efficiencies in raw material usage, wastage and DIFOT. Buckley Systems spends approximately $20million on procurement, a large percentage of which is sourced from overseas. It is expected that ongoing evaluation of alternative materials and sources of supply and delivery configurations will be undertaken. Key internal relationships with the Customer Service Manager and GM Manufacturing will ensure that materials, components and services are supplied to meet customer expectations of delivery. A purchasing officer and 7 stores staff will report into the position. We seek candidates with a proven track history in senior procurement positions, preferably from the manufacturing industry. Experience in supply chain management and a relevant tertiary qualification would be an advantage. If you are interested in joining an organisation that is changing and moving forward we look forward to hearing from you.
