StarJam is a dynamic organisation dedicated to providing opportunities for young people with disabilities to experience joy in their hearts and the belief that anything is possible. The young people, known as Jammers, realize this through participating in unique kinds of performance activities and stage productions.
StarJam has experienced phenomenal success in its first four years. In response to the increasing number of young people who want to join, StarJam has created The CoolJam Programme, which offers a range of workshops providing a variety of performance activities.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated, energetic, flexible and organized person to be responsible for the day to day running of the program. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for the recruitment and management of the CoolJam coaches, mentors and volunteers. You will be able to work on your own initiative as well as being a key member of a small team. Naturally, you will also be a confident communicator and have great people skills.
Key Attributes Required:
. Experience in leading, motivating and managing a team.
. Desire to work creatively with young people
. Proven ability to organise events.
. Competency with MS office and general computer savvy
. Ability to develop strong links with a wide range of groups within the community
