Land Development Manager
GHD is an international professional services company. Our people deliver innovative solutions by combining technical skill and experience with an understanding of our clients¡¯ objectives and aspirations.
We have an opportunity for an experienced land development professional to lead our Land Development Team in Manukau. Our premises are newly renovated, close to all amenities, and are favoured because of the ease of access to motorways and car parking availability.
Our Land Development team is currently working on a number of significant projects for a number of ¡°blue chip¡± clients in the Auckland region, and throughout New Zealand.
This role will report to the NZ Urban Development Business Stream Manager, and is a fantastic opportunity to grow an already very successful team, and potentially move to a national level in time.
Your focus will be to promote and develop GHD¡¯s Land Development Business by taking leading roles such as Project Director, Project Manager, Job Manager and Design Manager. You will be responsible for managing clients and workload including: financial management; programming; quality control and managing technical inputs from sub consultants. You will also have the ability to provide technical support on large civil, water and transportation projects; and mentor younger staff by sharing your knowledge and experience.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years land development experience within a consulting environment, ideally in New Zealand, and hold one of the following qualifications; BE Civil, Bachelor Surveying, or NZCE (Civil). Solid knowledge of local and regional authorities standards and guidelines is also required.
We will be looking for a high level of self-motivation, energy and confidence to motivate, lead and be a team player. A strong commercial acumen, and highly developed networking skills are essential.
