Our client, one of the top 5 consultancies in New Zealand, is looking for a driven individual to provide direction and vision for their E&I Group.
This fantastic opportunity has a dual focus: firstly strategic leadership in identifying market opportunities and developing business in the E&I sector regionally; secondly, all aspects of people and financial management of the business unit locally.
The successful applicant:
Will be a professional engineer with a BE in a relevant field such as mechanical, electrical or structural engineering
Have at least 10 years post-graduate experience and a proven ability at developing business, preferably within the energy or industrial arenas.
Be technically strong in their own right and have excellent commercial acumen
You will be competent at building and leading a team of experienced and technically strong engineers to bring about outstanding performance. A role model for the group, you will listen effectively and communicate exceptionally at all levels with internal and external stakeholders. You will have a solid understanding of project management principles and practices, particularly in the realm of controlling project finances. We are looking for an individual with a good breadth and depth of knowledge of general engineering disciplines.
