Contemporary policing practice requires the utilisation and analysis of significant amounts of information and data that is being constantly provided from a wide variety of sources. This is especially so in the areas of Organisational Performance and Risk Management.
Counties Manukau Police are looking to appoint a Risk & Performance Manager with a sound appreciation of modern policing, who will contribute to the District by collating, recording, evaluating and disseminating information on organisational performance and risk identification and mitigation.
The essence of this position is to identify, monitor and assess the internal (primarily) and external risk and performance factors to the District. Having identified the issues, the Risk & Performance Manager is then expected to convey the information to the appropriate managers for action.
Essential tools utilised to achieve these outcomes include packages such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Business Objects.
Reporting to the District Policing Development Manager, the successful applicant will demonstrate excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills effectively in group and individual situations.
