OPERATIONS DUTY MANAGER Auckland City Location Salary to 50K Marine Services Industry / Crew Management - Variety plus !!
A well known and recognised company located in the bottom of town in the marine (cruise) industry who need an Operations Duty Manager to join them in a variety plus type role giving you plenty to keep you going and to manage the day to day marine operation, ensuring vessels are operating on schedule and day to day crew are onboard plus more. The role will be 4 days on and 4 days off.
The position will involve:-
Supervision of staff, crew and people management of up to 100 staff Managing the vessels and their daily operations Ensure crew levels are maintained and handling staff issues Responsible for inspections and that OSH related issued are adhered to by staff and passengers Managing breakdowns, replacements, repairs Work closely with the Marine Crew Manager to ensure crew are qualified, trained and up to speed on vessel operations Work closely with the Freight Department to ensure freight is transported with care and efficiency Maintain and uphold working relationships with marine services, wharves and islands You will need to have proven leadership skills, be hands on, a people person, approachable and be on the ball. Experience in the "cruise" industry is preferred.
